Use the Force, Luke (or whatever you name is).

The hardest part of the sciatic block is picking the nerve out of the background.  I think I’ve found something that can help with that.

This is a link to a Popup Window containing a test animation to help you practice findng subtle densities on ultrasound.  There are 9 densities (brighter areas) hidden in the animation that will gradually become visible.  They range from very bright to just a little brighter than the background.

Take your time, un-focus your eyes and keep them moving, let your brain look for the subtle density changes.  Try it over and over.  The animation will loop 25 times.  Watch as much or little as you like.  It is not cheating to know where to look.  Try to sense the changes early.

I will try to make more of this type of training aids that you can practice on.  I will post them as a list of choices here as I finish them.

Let me know if you think they’re worthwhile or not.

It’s not a test, it’s practice!!

The Practice Windows may take a while to load, be patient.
